We in the World

A samba reggae tune I wrote inspired by the power of music, the drum, and the potential for living true lives:

At times we are looking for distance
Sometimes distance finds
We cannot see past the colors we’re in
Yet that is how we will define
We close our doors and we walk away
Not my cause we would like to say
And all the while when you walking the block
Not one is knowing your name
And all the while when you walking the block
Not one is knowing your name

…We in the world as one (3x)
We in the world as, we in the world as, we in the world as one

At times we are looking for trouble
Sometimes trouble finds
We cannot see all the beautiful lives
We are living blind
The wars we fight and the hate that feeds
We draw our guns over different needs
And all the while like a gathering storm
Peace will begin to give way
And all the while like a gathering storm
Peace will begin to give way

…We in the world as one (3x)
We in the world as, we in the world as, we in the world as one

We find us looking for happiness
It’s right here all the while
We’re lost in greed and material things
Consuming the best of our time
We rush to feed and we feed the rush
The news and ads we intend to trust
And all the while as the stress pulls you in
You losing control of your life
And all the while as the stress pulls you in
You losing control of your life

…We in the world as one (3x)
We in the world as, we in the world as, we in the world as one
