Spirit Child

Me and K, pacific oceanSpirit child,
light gathers
across the curve
of your cheek
as sunbeams
cast your shadow
against the sand.
Footprints soften
in the tide
as moon rises
and a cool fog
begins washing
the sky opaque.
Some say the past,
present, and future
occur simultaneously now,
and that all breath
is one breath,
an earthly sigh,
the first warm breeze
in spring,
the blizzard wind
that cuts the valley
deeper,
deeper.
Spirit child,
dancing blazing periphery,
mind shadows
fill with possible
as every color
runs through the center
with quantum leaps
to the edge of galaxy
where souls
and chakras shine
as you reach
for my hand.
